Kawasaki Touch Up Paint
To further strengthen their foothold on the motorcycle industry, Kawasaki purchased competitor Meguro in 1962. With this acquisition, Kawasaki benefited from a huge gain of knowledge and technologies. In the years following the merger, Kawasaki progressed in the small engines market with the 250CC Samurai and the 350CC Avenger. Their competitors marketed more powerful bikes that were popular so Kawasaki concentrated on making lighter motorcycles.
During that time, the company dominated racing in the 250CC and 350CC classes. Due to the success that the smaller bikes were having, the company slowly worked on more powerful engines. Their big American triumph came with the Ninja model, it was the first Kawasaki model with a liquid-cooled engine and could go to speed up to 250 km/h. The same year, Kawasaki started producing a bike that reached a speed limit unprecedented by its competitors. This bike will hold the record for a period of five years.
Kawasaki's traditional racing color is green, awarding the brand with the nickname "Team Green". If you're part of the team, take a look at TouchUpDirect's perfect match Kawasaki touch up paint.
What tools do I need for a Kawasaki touch up paint job?
To create the best looking coat for your vehicle, we recommend the following:
PRIMER, COLOR, AND CLEARCOAT - It goes without saying that you need paint to do a touch up paint job. Clearcoat provides a thin protective layer for your paint job while Primer is required for damage that has reached the original base material.
WAX AND GREASE REMOVER CLOTH - The wax and grease remover cloth is used to remove wax, grease, and contaminants before painting.
SANDPAPER - Wet-sanding the affected area removes rust and prepares the surface with a rough finish so the paint can stick better.
POLISHING COMPOUND - The polishing compound smooths everything out with a factory-grade finish.
These tools are all available with our Platinum kit but can be purchased separately on the TouchUpDirect website.
