The story of Dodge starts with two brothers manufacturing automobile parts near Detroit in 1900. It is not until 1915 that Dodge started making its own cars but it was well worth the wait. Following the sudden death of the brothers, the company was bought by Chrysler. Aside from their robust trucks, Dodge practically took over America with their line of muscle cars, particularly the Charger. This new model revolutionized NASCAR by introducing a more aerodynamic body and thus dominating the circuit 4 years in a row. More recently, the Dodge Ram eventually became so popular that it is now a separate brand specializing in trucks. Dodge is now associated with the Dodge Caravan and the Dodge Ram. The brand is still a synonym of high performance vehicle and it has recently relaunched popular models like the Charger, the Challenger and the Dart. What tools do I need for a Dodge touch up paint job?
To create the best looking coat for your vehicle, we recommend the following:
PRIMER, COLOR, AND CLEARCOAT - It goes without saying that you need paint to do a touch up paint job. Clearcoat provides a thin protective layer for your paint job while Primer is required for damage that has reached the original base material.
WAX AND GREASE REMOVER CLOTH - The wax and grease remover cloth is used to remove wax, grease, and contaminants before painting.
SANDPAPER - Wet-sanding the affected area removes rust and prepares the surface with a rough finish so the paint can stick better.
POLISHING COMPOUND - The polishing compound smooths everything out with a factory-grade finish.

What is Dodge Color Code?
To find the Dodge color code, check the following:- Driver’s side door jamb
- Firewall
- Front of the radiator
- Behind the battery
- Under the passenger seat panel
Dodge color codes are typically three characters long and can include both letters and numbers. The code is located on the bottom left corner of the sticker next to "PNT".
