Primers

If you have a scratch on your car that has removed paint down to bare metal or plastic, your color paint won’t stick unless you use primer. Our primers work on any automotive substrate – plastic, metal, and fiberglass – and come in several possible forms including aerosol, paint pen, and jar/brush. Use a paint pen for jobs smaller than a pencil eraser, use a jar/brush or a combo pen for thumbnail sized jobs, and use an aerosol for the panel-sized areas of repair. Primer protects your car from additional corrosion and provides an idea painter surface for basecoat/color paints. Our TouchUpDirect Primer works with all of our color touch up paints.
