Land Rover Touch Up Paint
Just like its fellow countryman Jaguar, Land Rover is now owned by the Tata Motors of India. First, lets roll back in time to observe the origins of the brand. Land Rover did not start as a brand but as a model of the Rover Company. At Rover, the Wilks brothers were very interested with the American Jeep that had proven very useful during the war. So in 1948, the car designers started working on their own version of the beast and they named it the Land Rover.
From the get-go, the Land Rover was built to withstand hard terrain and prove reliability while challenging the solidly implanted Jeep. Britain used its old colonial empire to disperse the Land Rover to the corners of the earth in all the most difficult conditions. The fact is that the model also seduced farmers in the country who deserted their horses in favor of the diesel engine. This was not a small feat to have achieved.
The British Ministry of Defense has also commissioned its own version of the Land Rover. The UK Military approved the vehicles with added suspension, updated brakes, mounts for various firearms and many more upgrades. These military grade machines were also used by the Australian army and used in various conflict zones including Korea and Iraq.
Over the course of its life, the Land Rover switched owners a couple of times but the quality of the name and the legendary sturdiness of the cars made it a safe value. From Rover to Leyland to BMW to Ford to Tata, the Land Rover has stayed the same robust vehicle and this is what will ensure the longevity of the brand for years to come.
Driving off-road with your Land Rover can sometimes be hard on your paint, a tree branch, a rock, a hail storm; be ready for all conditions with TouchUpDirect's Land Rover touch up paint.
What tools do I need for a Land Rover touch up paint job?

To create the best looking coat for your vehicle, we recommend the following:
PRIMER, COLOR, AND CLEARCOAT - It goes without saying that you need paint to do a touch up paint job. Clearcoat provides a thin protective layer for your paint job while Primer is required for damage that has reached the original base material.
WAX AND GREASE REMOVER CLOTH - The wax and grease remover cloth is used to remove wax, grease, and contaminants before painting.
SANDPAPER - Wet-sanding the affected area removes rust and prepares the surface with a rough finish so the paint can stick better.
POLISHING COMPOUND - The polishing compound smooths everything out with a factory-grade finish.
These tools are all available with our Platinum kit but can be purchased separately on the TouchUpDirect website.
