In the meantime, Hyosung opened its own research and development center in 1986 with the objective to develop its own design of motorcycles which took no time to attain. The first internally conceived Hyosung machine was ready to fly out of the research institute in 1987. As soon as their plans were finished, mass production started and before long, Hyosung exported its bikes in Japan.
As a next step, the company parted in two divisions; the Hyosung Machine Sales Incorporation and the Hyosung Motorcycle Sales Incorporation. The sales were as strong as ever and in 1991, Hyosung opened its second manufacturing plant in Deajeon Deasung. The production capabilities offered by this new factory allowed the brand to start exporting in Europe, notably in Italy. No later than 1996 rolled the one millionth Hyosung motorcycle.
They say that the first million is the hardest to obtain, well it proved true for the motorcycle producer. It took the brand 9 years to assemble one million motorcycles but it only took 5 to achieve a cumulative production of two millions in 2001. The following years saw a division of the company operating in the United States. In 2007, Hyosung Motors joined the S&T Group but was acquired once again in 2014 and changed the name to KR Motors.
The newly formed company is now expanding its range of motorcycles from the simple commuter bikes to more recreational machines. What tools do I need for a Hyosung touch up paint job?
To create the best looking coat for your vehicle, we recommend the following:
PRIMER, COLOR, AND CLEARCOAT - It goes without saying that you need paint to do a touch up paint job. Clearcoat provides a thin protective layer for your paint job while Primer is required for damage that has reached the original base material.
WAX AND GREASE REMOVER CLOTH - The wax and grease remover cloth is used to remove wax, grease, and contaminants before painting.
SANDPAPER - Wet-sanding the affected area removes rust and prepares the surface with a rough finish so the paint can stick better.
POLISHING COMPOUND - The polishing compound smooths everything out with a factory-grade finish.
