Yes, you absolutely could (and should) get something nice for your significant other this Valentine’s Day. But doesn’t your car deserve something nice too? Take Your Car on a Trip!
Did you ever think that your vehicle might want to see more than your usual routes? Take that car on a road trip! You could go as small as a drive-in movie or as big as a cross country car journey. Make that dirt fly as you hit some back roads…though we do recommend that you check to see if your car can handle all those wooded trails. Some cars were not made for dirt roads and that’s okay. From the engineering marvel that is the Cherohala Skyway to the incredible canyons and cliffs of Big Bend, the U.S. is filled with majestic views. The combo of car culture and stunning natural scenery is not something that every country has and you should take full advantage. You and your car will have a fun time. Give Your Car an Extra Shine with Wax and Polish
It’s that extra bit of attention that makes something absolutely shine. That’s literally true in this case. Waxing your car creates a warm glow that enhances the finish on your paint job. A good polish will give your paint job a special gloss and also helps combat dull and rippled finish on your car. These both last a few months, and a combination on your paint job will create a shiny, protective coat. Did you know that there are about 300 drive-ins left in the United States of America? This icon was once a staple of American life but decades of societal changes (gas crisis, introduction of home video, and daylight saving) have turned the drive-in into more of a novelty. For those unfamiliar with the concept, you drive up to a parking lot in front of a screen, grab a speaker or calibrate your car’s stereo to the movie’s soundtrack, and watch the movie from the comfort of your own car. Grab some snacks and take out and you’ve got yourself a fun night of nostalgia!
Just a Little Bit of TLC
Taking the time to check on your vehicle’s health is an act of care (and will save you some money down the road). Check on things like your car’s brake fluid, oil level, battery charge, tire pressure, and water levels. If you don’t feel comfortable checking your car’s health yourself, that’s fine too. Find a professional you trust and set a schedule to take your car in for check ups. Some preventative maintenance will help you make sure that problems don’t spiral out of control.
