What Tools Do I Need for a Ford Touch Up Paint Job?

ford Touch Up Paint Tools including Polishing compound, sand paper, clearcoat, basecoat, primer and wax and grease remover wipe
To create the best looking coats for your vehicle, we recommend the following:

PRIMER, COLOR, AND CLEARCOAT - It goes without saying that you need paint to do a touch up paint job. Clearcoat provides a thin protective layer for your paint job, while Primer is required for damage that has reached the original base material.

WAX AND GREASE REMOVER CLOTH - The wax and grease remover cloth is used to remove wax, grease, and contaminants before painting.

SANDPAPER - Wet sanding the affected area removes rust and prepares the surface with a rough finish.

POLISHING COMPOUND - The polishing compound smooths everything out with a factory-grade finish.

These tools are all available with our Platinum Kit but can be purchased separately on the TouchUpDirect website.

Ford's Story

Dissociating Ford from the American car industry is almost impossible. Not only has it built world renowned cars but within a decade of its establishment, the company completely revolutionized the inner mechanism of the assembly-line. With its ground-breaking manufacturing process and profitable employee measures, Ford brought cars to the people of America.

Over the years, the Ford brand is known as the source of many technological improvements to its line of cars, but the brand is equally illustrious for its trucks. Ford did not stop there, the company also built buses, tractors and it successfully participated in making race cars. It would be easy to overlook the discontinued brand that used to emanate from Ford; the short lived Edsel and the more recently terminated Mercury.

Whether you own a brand new F-150 or a vintage Mustang, there’s no doubt that owning a Ford is like owning a piece of American auto history. Cherish your Ford and show it some love with TouchUpDirect’s touch up paint that's an exact match to your vehicle.
